Quick Start: Playing Rich Diamond
The Rich Diamond adventure consists of a series of
challenges. The goal of each level is to collect all the diamonds,
while avoiding the various traps and pitfalls which have been left
for you.
After the opening movie, the Rich Diamond title screen
appears, and the Rich Diamond fanfare begins playing. To exit this
screen, click the left mouse button or press any key. You will then
be asked to select a player 'file'. If this is the first time you
have played Rich Diamond, select Create New
Player then enter your name. On subsequent runs of Rich
Diamond, you may either select this player file or create a new
player file. These player files store your score and any 'saved
games' for each level.
The next screen that appears is the main menu
screen. From this screen, you may begin playing levels, change program
options, or run custom level files. The section headed Main
Menu gives a full breakdown of this menu. To start playing
a level, select Play, which
will bring you to the level select map.
The level select map is your gateway into the various
levels of the Rich Diamond challenge. Each of the rectangular buttons
represents one of the levels. As you finish levels, more will become
available.

section lists all the features of this map. Click on one of the
rectangles to begin playing a level.
